Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary to our Blog!!!

At last! The long lost Peacock's are home and accounted for. Sorry for the REALLY long vacation from posting. I had too much to blog about, and too little time to do it. December was a C R A Z Y month! So much happened, and we were really never home for more than a few days at a time.

I won't be able to give detailed updates on all of the events but I'll go through the month's major activities. It's going to be a novel anyway!


FIRST WEEK- Luke and Tianna went to Castle Dale so that Luke could attend the temple with his little sister as she went through for the first time. I went with the Young Women in my ward to Temple Square where we watched the Joseph Smith movie and looked at the lights. I then stayed at my brother's house because Sunday they blessed their adorable baby boy, Jacomo. Luke arrived JUST in the nick of time. (and by that, picture him walking up the isle, dropping Tianna and the diaper bag off with whoever was sitting on the end of the row and walking up to join the Priesthood circle)
Afterwards, we took Tianna to see the lights at Temple Square.

WEEK TWO- Luke's finals week. We are pleased to say that his hard work paid off and he got accepted into the concurrant program for his senior year to count towards his Master's degree in addition to his Bachelor's degree. HUGE BLESSING from Heaven! He had to have pretty much all A's this semester in order to get accepted and HE DID! I'm so proud of him! Not only does this mean his schooling will be fast tracked, but since you can't receive scholarships and grants for Grad school, having his senior year count towards both degrees saves us a lot of $$$.

As soon as he finished his last final up on Friday we went down to Price to attend my dad's company Christmas party. It was nice being able to make it this year. It worked out really well because, Luke's sister, Courtney, got married the next day. So we had a busy busy day with going to bed at 1 or 2 and waking up at 5 am to get to the temple on time... since it was suppose to be a huge storm. Luckily we had not problems. Their ceremony was beautiful by the way. Their sealer was the same man who sealed us... so that was cool! Then we came back to Castle Dale for a luncheon and then a reception etc. Again, VERY busy day.
The next day we had to leave to head back to Logan... but we left Tianna at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a few days.

WEEK THREE- Luke worked on that Monday and then Tuesday he had the joyous experience of getting a tonsillectomy. Not only did they take out his tonsils and his adenoids, but they trimmed his uvula (the hangy ball) which was the most painful of all. So he got nice and drugged up and I finished the last few items I needed to do so that we could leave for the Holidays. That night I ended up having some medical issues and had to drag Luke to the Insta Care with me. I then had a prenatal visit the next morning so by Thursday night we were finally able to leave.
NOTE- this may be my last post ever because Luke is going to KILL ME for putting this picture on! :) It could be worse, I could have put one while he was wearing the cute little cap too!

We spent a few recovery days at Luke's parents house and then a few more at my parent's house. One neat thing was getting together with all of my family and having a visit for Old Saint Nick. Tianna thought that was really awesome... until she had to sit on his lap of course.

WEEK FOUR- Christmas week! Yippeeeeeee!! Tuesday we made it to Scofield around 8:00 pm and it took us until almost 1 am to get all moved in. And BOY WAS IT COLD! Christmas Eve night we had a cute little Nativity pageant with my nieces and nephew. We actually had a baby boy to play the part of Jesus! That's a first for my family! Tianna got to be a wise-man and she thoroughly enjoyed her performance. Before bed we read her this little book we bought about Christ's birth as told in the bible and the book of mormon and it was really neat to see how she recognized each character. Well, at least the bible parts. We really wanted her to recognize there is so much more to Christmas than Santa Claus and toys... but it's hard when they are so little to look past the fun stuff.

Christmas was so fun! We had 9 little kids, ranging in ages 8 on down to a newborn. The only one missing was Jocelyn and of course her parents... and we really missed them.
Santa brought Tianna a baby and a wooden cradle, a Cinderella sleeping bag, and a portable DVD player. He must know how much we travel. :) It's more for Mom and Dad anyway. She also loved all the wonderful and generous gifts she received from everyone! We all did! So thank you to all o
It really was so fun watching her experience the Christmas magic. She got so excited...and you could just see pure joy on her face.

The next few days were spent hanging out and relaxing... with a little playing in the snow too. We weren't up to much, especially Luke. He was glad when he stopped taking his pain meds though... not that his throat didn't still hurt, but he hated the way they made him feel. (it's nice to know he won't become a drug abuser)

Friday night we went back to Castle Dale to visit his family and to have the annual Peacock Christmas party on Saturday. It was fun getting together with his uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents.

LAST WEEK--Sadly, on Sunday Luke had to get back to Logan to work for the week. He was nice enough to let me stay behind at the cabin with Tianna.
New Years was a bit weird though. He ended up not getting to have Friday off like we planned on, so he drove down to his parents after work on N. Y. eve and I stayed up in Scofield. New Years day he came and got me and we went home. I didn't go to Castle Dale with him because he was suppose to go coyote calling with his dad all day and so I figured why not just stay where I was. We didn't get our New Years kiss at midnight though. *tear*

Now we're home and just trying to recovery!!!!
Sorry about the mini-novel but hey-- no one made you read it! ; ) ..... IF anyone actually did. If not, oh well, it's my form of a journa anywayl.

To Clarify-- Yes, We're Having a Baby

We thought it would be kind of funny to just put the baby widget on the sidebar and see what people said, but it's been a tab bit confusing too. So YES, I'm pregnant! :)

I'm 13 weeks along, which means I'm due mid June. Yesterday and today I've been feeling better... so hopefully that means this whole (all day) morning sickness is coming to an end. I also had the energy to clean my whole house yesterday which is a vast improvement.... and a clean house feels really nice.
We had a pretty good miscarriage scare about 3 weeks ago, but the baby seemed to be fine when we had an ultrasound, so it enabled us to have a good Thanksgiving, with something extra to be thankful for. Since I had to take it really easy for a few weeks we took that as a sign it was a good time to announce the news to our families. For the most part, no one suspected I was pregnant so it came as quite the surprise.

I'm Thankful for Thanksgiving!

I was bad at picture taking this weekend. WHEN I actually was in the mood I usually didn't have my camera with me... or the battery was dead. etc. So... I didn't get the pictures I should have. I only managed to take 2 the WHOLE weekend. Silly me....

Wednesday night we traveled (along with every other person) and FINALLY made our way to Castle Dale. We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Luke's Grandma and Grandpa Peacock's house and had a great time. Afterward we visited the Lake side of the family for a little while before heading to Scofield to visit my family. (yeah... sure which I had taken a picture or two)

Unfortunately, not much of my family went to the cabin this weekend. It was just my parents and Jason, Joy, and Jocelyn. We had lots of fun with them but it was sad we didn't get to see anyone else. Tianna was sad too. She kept asking for each cousin, by name, over and over again. Next time... she had a good time seeing Aden and Jocelyn though.

At the cabin we decorated for Christmas and found our Cabin Christmas tree in record time. It's a beauty!
Later on Friday we had to travel back to Castle Dale. Luke and his dad went on a 24 hour coyote calling contest (where they triple tied for second place) and I had Luke's sister's bridal shower to attend. Luke had a really good time even though the weather didn't allow for the results they wanted. I had fun at the shower though- especially eating the chocolate fountain goodies! YUM!

Afterwards we went BACK to the cabin (we always end up traveling back and forth too much- oh well) but it was nice spending a relaxing Sabbath in the mountains. :P and then we made the lovely drive back to Logan.

I topped the WONDERFUL weekend off with the stomache flu all day on Monday. That part.. i really could have done without. But........... now it's officially the Christmas season and I'm way excited.

Here's a picture of our Christmas Tree and Nativity Scene at our house. I finally have all of the pieces to my Nativity... I got a part of it each Christmas we've been married and finally have it all. I figure it took 3 years for the REAL wisemen to show up, so it was okay that it took my until our 3rd Christmas to get our wisemen. It's so interesting though-- notice how the animals are surrounding the baby. Tianna did that--- she must know what it was really like because I didn't teach her to do that. This picture makes our tree look really OVERLOADED... maybe it is, but it doesn't look that bad in person. I wish you could see our PEACOCK ornaments though! I'm so glad that was in style last year.

FAMILY FUN

Saturday we took Tianna to DISNEY ON ICE!!!!
It was soooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun! She is totally in love with Disney- especially princesses, so when I heard it was the 100 years celebration and there would be a bunch of different stories told, I just couldn't resist.
She was totally enthralled the first half... but since it was during her nap time the second half was a bit harder for her. I could tell she wanted to be interested but was too tired to really enjoy it. She got pretty wiggly but didn't fall asleep. I think if the second half would have had more stories she had actually seen before it would have helped. Mostly, the show just showed me how many Disney stories she hasn't seen yet. I'll have to fix that. She just watches the same ones over and over again.

Thankful Message

I'm thankful for my life. I love the life I've been given.... and I'm too blessed to list all of the things I'm grateful for- it would take FOREVER TO WRITE! But the most important things in my life are my sweet husband, my wonderful daughter, and my loving and supportive family (that includes in-laws.)
I'm thankful for my home, my my husband's schooling, for my friends here in Logan and my other friends I've made throughout my life..... and so..........

I've decided to go private. I've chosen not to for my own convenience and because I have really enjoyed finding more and more friends to blog with... but it's not worth risking the safety of my family and friends whom I post about.

So Please, PLEASE...EVEN if you only occasionally look at my blog, let me know so that I can add you to our list. I don't want to go private, but I feel it's the only way in this crazy world.

ps- I also would have gone private sooner if there was some way that people could still view my profile to get my email address so they could contact me after I go private. Does anyone know of a way to do that... or for any other way for people to contact you if they don't know your email address?

Plus 18 1/2 Inches and Minus 13

"Thankful Thursday's" just aren't working out for me. Not that I'm ungrateful on Thursday's, it's more of just a bad day for blogging... too busy.
So I've decided to have more of a "Thankful Message" each week... doesn't matter what day.

So this week..... we are grateful for the safe arrival of our new nephew!!! My brother James, and his wife, Val's little baby BOY was born on Wednesday. I was able to be there with Tianna shortly after the birth. He's so adorable and he and his mother are both doing well!!!

I don't know if they've chosen a name for him yet... but he is 18 1/2 inches long and 6.1 lbs. He is healthy, handsome, and SO LOVED!!!

In other news. I got brave.... or stupid..... that is debatable. But today, I cut off my hair. More than a whole foot!!!!! First of all, I can't believe it was actually that long... and secondly, I can't believe that I actually got rid of it. It will take at least 3 years to get it back! I'm still in shock.... but I do like it. Change is good (please don't reference that to our new President. I'm not too happy about that issue) but as for looks.... change is often needed to keep things fresh. I've looked the same for far too long. And Luke is happy that I did it... mostly because now I'll stop bugging him about whether I should or not.

And yes, I cried in the chair. Thankfully I'm friends with the girl that cut it so she didn't think I was a complete dope. Well, maybe she did. Luke was a great support though. He stayed by my side and kept telling me it looked great. So now, I guess that's up to you to decide.

Happy Halloween

First off- I missed my Thankful Thursday Message.... this week was CRAZY BUSY!! So for this week, I'm grateful for a daughter who enjoys dressing up even more than I do... and a husband who is willing ;) even if he would rather.

For Halloween Tianna was Cinderella!!! She absolutely loved wearing her dress around town, and trick-or-treating down Main Street and at Luke's work. She got very good as saying "trick-or-treat" and "thank you" to each person. It was soooooooooo soooo cute!!!



Luke and I dressed up as Lucy and Ricky from "I Love Lucy." We both look kinda weird, but it was definitely fun anyway! Thursday night I had to dress up because our ward's young men and young women's did a little carnival for the Special Need Mutual. It was such a great experience. Halloween night we went to a little party at the Old Barn theater with some friends from the plays I've been in. The theme was Old Hollywood. So here we have some sort of diva, Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, and Audrey Hepburn.
And of course, Dezi and Lucy and Cinderella.


Tianna's favorite part about that was dancing around with her daddy on the stage. She's such a funny little girl!!

And last, but not least, I have to show a pic of the back of my hair because it looked way better than the front did.
