So I've decided to have more of a "Thankful Message" each week... doesn't matter what day.
So this week..... we are grateful for the safe arrival of our new nephew!!! My brother James, and his wife, Val's little baby BOY was born on Wednesday. I was able to be there with Tianna shortly after the birth. He's so adorable and he and his mother are both doing well!!!
I don't know if they've chosen a name for him yet... but he is 18 1/2 inches long and 6.1 lbs. He is healthy, handsome, and SO LOVED!!!
In other news. I got brave.... or stupid..... that is debatable. But today, I cut off my hair. More than a whole foot!!!!! First of all, I can't believe it was actually that long... and secondly, I can't believe that I actually got rid of it. It will take at least 3 years to get it back! I'm still in shock.... but I do like it. Change is good (please don't reference that to our new President. I'm not too happy about that issue) but as for looks.... change is often needed to keep things fresh. I've looked the same for far too long. And Luke is happy that I did it... mostly because now I'll stop bugging him about whether I should or not.
And yes, I cried in the chair. Thankfully I'm friends with the girl that cut it so she didn't think I was a complete dope. Well, maybe she did. Luke was a great support though. He stayed by my side and kept telling me it looked great. So now, I guess that's up to you to decide.

I'm excited for James & Val! What a cute little guy. Peggy (Austin's cousin, Val's exchange parent) usually keeps us updated on them.
I bet being the only grandson, he'll be very spoiled! :)
And HOLY COW, I love your hair!!! That is the exact do I'd want if I had straight hair. These curls ruin my chances for many styles, darn it. Mine used to be really long but then I cut it after having Carson since he's a major hair-puller.
Cute baby and cute hair. Really, it's beautiful. But you're such a pretty girl it probably wouldn't matter if it was nasty. Lucky you!
I LOVE you hair!! I used to have nice straight hair, and if I still did that is probably what I would do with my hair too. But since having Landon my hair has turned curly! Ugh!! Some days it is good, some is bad - I am still getting used to it.

Mary, I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! You're very brave! Exactly a year and a half ago, I cut 14" off my hair! It was freakishly long! It was hard to part with. But after a year and a half, it has pretty much grown back. I wish I was more brave, and cuz it really short like you! I seriously love it! You're so beautiful though, you can pull off anything :)

Your hair looks fabulous. I can't believe anyone's hair can even grow long enough to be able to cut 13 inches off. I don't think mine has ever been 13 inches long from my scalp to the ends!
