A Name and a Blessing

On December 9th, Luke blessed our sweet baby girl.  She received the name of Linaya Jean Peacock and a beautiful blessing of being strong spiritually, a love of the scriptures and a knowledge of her Savior, Jesus Christ and many other wonderful things.

The neatest part was that during the entire blessing Linaya was smiling up at Luke.  Up until now she has only offered a few quick grins now and then and they were really hard to get.  It was such an amazing experience for him to have her smile like that.  Definitely a moment to remember forever!
Sorry, but I liked both family pics for different people
Told ya she lost a lot more hair in front since the DAY before!
The little turkey filled her drawers just before the actual blessing so we didn't have time to change her until that was over. By then it was too late-- worst blow-out she has ever had. It was all over her dress, tights, diaper cover, everything! It was also all over Daddy! Hopefully not on any of the other men in the circle!
These are the only pictures I have of her in her dress... but now that everything is all washed I will have to do a better photo shoot.

We had so many of our families come and support us on this special day, despite the bad weather. We are so blessed with such wonderful family and friends.

Not pictured: Luke's Grandpa and Grandma Lake, Aunt Sheryl, Uncle Michael, Cousin Kyla,  Out brother James, Sister-in-law Tori, and all the other little cousins.

It was such a wonderful day! Everything was perfect, (except for the family who couldn't make it. You were missed. )
After all the festivities were over we turned on a movie for the older girls and Linaya, Luke and I took a nice long nap.  Yep... perfect day in deed!

Peacock Christmas Party

Linaya loves to open her eyes really really wide sometimes. It's so cute!
*Notice she still has a lot of hair on top of her head in this picture... I was just noticing that just a few days later all this cute hair is now missing on top! She's getting an old man receding hairline.
It felt kind of like a deja vu since just 2 weeks before the Peacock Christmas party was Thanksgiving dinner in the same building, with the same people. But it was still really fun to get together again for our Christmas party.  Grandma Peacock always works so hard every year to put on the party.  Between all the food, the decorating, all the gifts she gives, and the theme with story packets and crafts.... I hope she knows we really appreciate her!

Luke's Moab Adventure

On December 1st Luke went with his best buddy from high school, Blake Merrell, to Moab.
Even though I've heard all about it, I can't remember the details well enough to really write about it.
I just know they had a wonderful time hiking, rapelling, scaling rocks, and fishing camera's out of 15 foot holes.  He had so much fun and hopes to take his wife with him next time :)

Maybe Luke can come back and insert headings for the pictures and give a better account of their great adventure.

Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving in good old Castle Dale.
This picture was of sweet Baby L while I was getting ready to go ;)
 The OTHER Turkey on Thanksgiving
We had dinner with the Peacock side at the Old Fire Station in Orangeville

Adelia thought Grandpa needed a ride
That night Tianna lost her 5th tooth-- the other front tooth. Just in time to sing "All I want for Christmas is my 2 Front Teeth!"
At this rate she won't be able to eat anything but mush!
On Friday we shooting
And BOWLING! It was so fun!
This is how she bowled.. just how we liked!
She was pretty proud of herself when she got a STRIKE!
Oh look! I was there too!!
Saturday
Everyone but Adelia, Linaya, and I went pheasant hunting in the morning. While they hunted the 3 of us visited with the Lake's.
That afternoon we went to Scofield until Sunday evening.  This was the only picture i took while we were there. What is with me?! I guess we were just the usual things like playing card games and eating a lot.
Plus we found our PERFECT Christmas tree.
Luke also had Monday off which was so nice! We woke up and decorated our Christmas tree at home before Tianna had to go to school.
Then he was so lucky to help put up the outside lights! "Help" as in...do most of it :) with Adelia and I assisting.
Notice the short sleeve shirts and sunglasses. It was SO warm we were sweating!
These last few have nothing to do with Thanksgiving weekend.......they were just fun.
In 2 seconds flat she went from this:
:) Gotta love crying face pictures too!
