I always think tags are fun to read but I rarely do them myself because I have too much regular stuff to post on. This last weekend we had a WONDERFUL family reunion on Luke's mom's side with really fun pictures, but... at the last minute I decided to stay at my parents house for the week and so I don't have my camera's downloading equipment. So that post shall wait. Until then, I think i'll do this tag.

1. I was 3 1/2 so I'm not totally sure what I was doing
2. I loved watching Saturday morning cartoons (we didn't have cable or anything so when something other than KUED was on, I couldn't wait! I would wake up so early that I'd stare at that rainbow screen until the channels would start around 5)
3. Playing outside in "the sand pile" from dawn until dusk... usually awesome games like Spiderman and Cops and Robbers

1. I was in 7th grade and I had a huge crush on a kid that I'm pretty sure is a druggie/gothic now
2. My best friends were Kortney Shorts, Amy Powell, and Veronica Anderson and we really really liked to watch the movie "Now and Then" because we thought we were like those girls.

So Far This Year
1. Been in 2 plays. Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella
2. Was put into the Young Womens and although it's time consuming, I love it
3. Spend most of my time chasing around a wild little girl named Tianna Mary Peacock
Yesterday
1. Skipped church and feel REALLY guilty about it (I figure once a year will probably be okay... I know, I'm justifying.... but we were at a family reunion
2. Caught 2 fish
3. Debated for about 2 hours whether to stay in Price or go home with Luke like planned
Today
1. Went walking with my mom and decided to jog home
2. Bought some of Luke's textbooks online
3. Ran errands around Price (one thing Logan definitely has OVER Price)
Tomorrow
1. I will swim in the pool that's set up in the back yard
2. I plan to Go to Farm Bureau and get a quote on life insurance
3. do some weeding for my dad
In the Next Year
1. I will finish up a course I take on writing children's stories
2. I may add to my family (we'll see)
3. Maybe do another play (???)

Girls Camp
Our BEAUTIFUL LILLIES
Since I'm in the Young Womens I got to go to Girls Camp this year. It was a really fun (and tiring) week. I love the girls and I love the leaders I work with... and I love the YW program... but MAN it's hard to leave family and everything behind for a week. Well, 4 days... but when you aren't getting to shower or your baby whom you've never left before, it feels longer.
It was almost heartbreaking dropping my baby off with my mom on Monday night. She spent a few days with my parents before heading over to Castle Dale to be with Luke's family until they brought her back up on Saturday. 6 DAYS!!!! It was the hardest thing I've had to do in a long time. Don't get me wrong, it was rather nice coming home from camp and actually getting to shower and take a nap and then go on a date without having to get a babysitter.... but the 5 days before that were brutal. Camp was up Ogden Canyon at a place called Camp Shawnee.
So as to not have an eternally long post, I'll just list the highs and lows

Dog Days of Summer?
Does that saying refer to greyhounds... because our summer is flying by!
This past week was great!
Tuesday was our anniversary and we had some awesome friends watch Tianna for us while we went out to a nice steak dinner and watched the new Indiana Jones movie. (I think that was our first movie date in over a year...) And my wonderful husband gave me a bouquet of gorgeous roses! He's such a keeper!!
Wednesday Tori and her girls came up here to Logan for a visit and a Layers clothing party. (thanks to all those who came to that by the way). On Thursday we went swimming and that was way fun.. I just wish I had whipped out the camera while they were here. I should be ashamed of myself! But thanks Tori and co. for making the long drive. We sure had a good time and hope you did as well!
Friday, Luke, Tianna, and I headed out to Bear Lake. It was an adventure from the start. We didn't know where we were going to stay and it was already after 7:30 by the time we heard of Rainbow somethin' or another campground (basically the ONLY place a B.L. that wasn't filled up) By the time we actually got to the campground it was well after 8:00. We missed the road that lead straight to the campground and by the time we took an extra 3 minutes to turn around and go back--Tianna threw up. Had we taken the road the first time, it wouldn't have happened, or at least it wouldn't have been in the carseat. Let's just say... ew.
So alas, we found our campground and started to set up. Well, Luke set up while I cleaned up. Just as we were setting up our tent we caught the most gorgeous sunset ever!
Then while Luke
worked, Tianna 
ate , and I took pics! haha... Okay, so I helped too...
Eventually we ate our tinfoil dinners and settled in for a good night's rest. Oh wait-- we forgot to grab the pump for the air mattress. We tried to lay straight on the ground but we concluded that neither of us would actually get sleep.... so we started to blow... and blow... and blow.
Finally, we settled in.
The next morning was great though! We woke up, went back to sleep, and finally rolled out of bed around 9:30. (now that's camping!) Then we made our way to the beach that was just over the ledge of our campsite. There we had an awesome and leisurely time playing in the water and pouring sand over ourselves.
Then we cleaned up, grabbed a raspberry shake from Garden City and basically came home. It definitely had it's adventures but it was well worth it!

God Bless America
We are so blessed to live in the United States! This picture was taken in March of 2007 from the Pearl Harbor Memorial in Hawaii. We were so touched by this sacred place and we thank all who have suffered so that we can be free!
We spent the first part of the holiday weekend in Scofield with my side of the family. Thursday night Tianna snuck into bed with Vittoria --
it was REALLY cute! On Friday Luke went on an all day horseback ride... but since I had the camera :) I only get to document what Tianna and I did. 
She played like crazy with her cousins at the cabin and loved searching for wild flowers with them. I went fishing with James and Vittoria on the reservoir
and later we went 4-wheeling with the other kids. 
Baby Jocelyn was at the cabin too. She's such a sweetheart! 
Hope her parent's didn't mind I kept stealing her.. I just can't help it!
Saturday morning we took our little monkey to the Pleasant Valley Day parade... and since it was just us we had to take pictures separately!
After the parade we headed down to Price for Taylor's (my oldest niece) Baptism. We're so happy for you Taylor!
Then it was off to Orangeville/Castle Dale for time with Luke's family. While we were at a BBQ at Grandma Peacock's house Tianna and our nephew, Aden, climbed up onto the riding lawnmower by themselves.. those two are always gettin' in trouble together! Notice the arm around the girl... How funny is that?!
That night we did some family fireworks and Tianna quite enjoyed them.
Sunday we went to church in Castle Dale and guess who was at our Sacrament meeting--- Elder Oaks! Yeah... it was totally awesome! There was such a special spirit present in that room! Unfortunately, only about 5 people got to bare their testimonies and he wasn't one of them. Let's just say, some people aught to read Elder Oaks' talk from General Conference on testimony baring... Oh well, the experience was still really neat.
And the weekend was awesome. We love our families and our country. God bless both!

Remembering Grandma Theressa
Today would be my grandma's 89th birthday... but sadly, last year she passed away the day after her 88th birthday. She is really missed and still really really loved.
She is the only grandparent I've really known. Her husband passed away when I was 8 and he was the only other one in my life because my mother's parents passed long ago.
Theressa was such an example to me. Not only was she an awesome mother and grandmother, but she was the first woman on Price's city council, owned her own catering business, and was voted Mother of the Year in Price, Carbon County's Woman of Achievement, and UTAH'S Woman of Achievement the year I went to Miss Utah.
I learned so many things from this wonderful lady and she has been very influential in shaping me into the woman I am today. I'm so grateful for the years of health she enjoyed and that I was able to grow up living so close to her. Having her in the temple with Luke and I when we were married will always be a cherished memory of my sweet grandma, along with countless others.
I'm also very very grateful that she was able to know Tianna in this life. She was there the day she was born and was able to be in her life until she was 9 months old.
