Our BEAUTIFUL LILLIES
Since I'm in the Young Womens I got to go to Girls Camp this year. It was a really fun (and tiring) week. I love the girls and I love the leaders I work with... and I love the YW program... but MAN it's hard to leave family and everything behind for a week. Well, 4 days... but when you aren't getting to shower or your baby whom you've never left before, it feels longer.
It was almost heartbreaking dropping my baby off with my mom on Monday night. She spent a few days with my parents before heading over to Castle Dale to be with Luke's family until they brought her back up on Saturday. 6 DAYS!!!! It was the hardest thing I've had to do in a long time. Don't get me wrong, it was rather nice coming home from camp and actually getting to shower and take a nap and then go on a date without having to get a babysitter.... but the 5 days before that were brutal. I think she had a wonderful time though. Check out Monica's blog for pictures of her http://binghamsurvivalguide.blogspot.com
Camp was up Ogden Canyon at a place called Camp Shawnee.
So as to not have an eternally long post, I'll just list the highs and lows

LOWS
Missing Tianna and Luke (of course)
One girl throwing up, going into shock and needing a blessing
Another girl running into a pole
Another girl cutting her finger and needing to leave to get stitches
The above 3 all happening the first day
REALLY LOUD snoring in the leaders cabin
Spiders and snake
Twisting girls arms to help clean up
HIGHS
Witnessing Jessica's blessing
Gorgeous Mother Nature
Feeling the spirit and learning from the lessons
Bonding with each other
Really good food
"Makeovers and fashion show
Swimming at a reservoir
Testimony meeting
Seeing the moon and Jupiter (and it's moons) through a telescope
THE COOOOOLEST shooting star ever. It started on one side of the sky and didn't burn out until it hit the other side... and it was really really large and a slight greenish shade
Meeting a General Authority, Elder Dewsnip
Seeing our Bishop pose in a paper bag skirt

I am glad you had fun. And if it makes you feel better, I know Tianna missed you! It doesn't look like it from the pictures, but latter on she was asking for you alot:). I look forward to seeing you guys soon at the reunion. Love ya,
Monica
That's funny, cuz I just told another one of my friends who was a leader for Girls Camp, that I don't know how I ever survived the 6 years of girls camp! I am such a wuss now! I seriously have no idea how I did it....maybe all that "roughing it" while I was younger, made me hate camping as an adult. Hmmm....
i went to girls camp to but it was at the girls home and they had showers and stuff sleep in side. great fun had cell phones so i could call the kids. oh by the way my trent is getting married
