We waited a long time for this trip... my dad had taken the rest of the family the year before and previous years. We hadn't been able to go because I was either pregnant or other reasons conflicted with this fun horse pack trip.
This year we only had to wait a little longer due to rainy weather and the girl's play. Plus weeks of preparation. Finally the time arrived.
We might be crazy bringing a barely 1 year old on a trip with a 9 mile horse ride in, tent camping, horse riding and fishing each day, and 9 miles back ..... but.... we are crazy.
And turns out, Vera LOVED it. She happily rode with her daddy slept when she was tired, and rode happily some more. That girl LOVES horsies.
Our awesome campsite
What did tell ya... ride and nap... nap and ride...
We had a WONDERFUL time on this trip. Memories for a life-time with made with Grandpa Neil
The evening we returned home from the Uintah's Luke and I went to the Colin Raye concert in Emery County. We wouldn't have gotten tickets but we purchased them before we post poned the date of our Uintah trip.
Well that... and Colin Raye is my long time favorite country singer!! Been a fan FOREVER!
And his conert did not disappoint! Even the sky was perfect
I even had a super cool moment where I went to the bathroom between the pre-show and Colin Raye and walked RIGHT PAST him as he was walking out the concert. I geeked out for a few moments.
Vera had her first pony hair. Such a cute baby girl.
We had an abundance of zuccini from our garden so we had a baking day where we made a variety of yummy goodness and sold it for the girls to make a little money.
Meanwhile, Vera had a plastic chicken drumstick in mouth, a club in the other, and took her first few steps.
We went to an end of summer tea party at the Frandsen's house. Thanks Aunt Tori
Our special Augut days where we remember Vittoria's angel anniversary and birthday
Limitless Marriage Makeover
This weekend was indescribable for Luke and I. We had a wonderful marriage before but this weekend forever changed our marriage for the better.
After a weekend away from the kiddos we were so glad to see them again
"A total Eclipse of the Heart"
We watched the total solar eclipse at the Radisson Hotel where Luke was at a work meeting. He was able to come out and watch with us and a nice gentleman shared his special glasses.
One thing we learne during the marriage retreat was how FUN it is to dance together... we had a lot of opportunites to dance at the retreat and brought that home with us. We even had an awesome dance party with the girlies
SCHOOL :(
It felt weird having the older girls gone... but we made due
Dancing at the county fair
