September

LAKE POWELL FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Yeah.. I know. We have vacationed and partied and vacationed some more.... for some reason that just happened a lot this summer.  So we figured why not just run with it and go on one more??  My sisters family invited us to go to Lake Powell (they had invited many times before but we just couldnt' make it work) So... we went.  And we LOVED IT!

But first... staking out a campsite

Linaya was really good at holding down that bench so it didn't run off whie we set up camp

And Vera was really good at holding daddy down on his bed, making sure he didn't run off too

Worn out babies

Cliff jumping

And... then our Lake Powell Trip was over.  We had so much fun and returned home full of red sand stained clothese, and red sun burnt faces.

Upon returning home from Lake Powell, Adelia had her tonsillectomy.  She LOVED the attention she got at the hospital

When you have your throat coterized and then they give you a purple popcicle it looks REALLY weird

The many emotions of wearing a Care Bear hat

This handsome guy turned 35

Using his Birthday Present

Scofield

Sept 11th is 9-11, Patriots Day... and this year the 2 year anniversary of buying our house
I love our house! I especially love this view when the flowers in the yard are all grown up and the grass is freshly mowed

Tianna had another arthritis check up at Primary Children's.

Mornings are early with this child

But naps happen.... so it's okay!

At Tiann'as appointment it was determined she needed another steroid injection so one week later we were back

Brave girl

As a secret to Tianna, we were going to go from Primary Children's hospital to a surprise family birthday party at Aunt Monica's house in SLC.

We had asked Monica to make Tianna a special HARRY POTTER birthday cake for her 11th birthday.  This cake was INCREDIBLE! and Tianna loved that it was her birthday present

Her other gift from us was a bed spread set

When did she get so old that she wasn't bedding and a special bday cake for her presents??

That night we stayed at Monica's house so that the following night we could drive up to Luke's cousin, Justin, wedding.

Since we were early we decided to visit our old neighborhood and go the tiny zoo, Willow Park Zoo.  We went there all the time while we lived in Logan. It was only a couple blocks from our house.  It has changed quite a bit in the last few years.

Then it was off to the wedding

Sunday walk with a beautiful sunset

Luke is the BEST daddy!

Tianna and Adelia started piano lessons from our friend and neighbor, Kelleen Palma

I made a quick trip up North to have dinner with this pretty friend, Amanda

Tianna on her new bed... friend birthday party tonight!

Since 11 is the age that young wizards get their acceptance letter to Hogwartz School of Witchcraft and Wizardy (the the Harry Potter Series our family loves)
a kid's 11th birthday is a special one.  Which explains the special designed cake... and the wizard themed birthday party.

Painting wands

We had a taco bar, cake and treats, and after making wands and being sorted into their houses (the cake cops  looked like the sorting hat and had special colored cake inside. Whatever color of cake they got was the house they were in)  we watched the 1st Harry Potter movie.  Simple and fun birthday with cute girls.

Fall drive to find pretty leaves.  We ended up driving up consumers into Clear Creek near Scofield.  I haven't driven that way since I was a little girl!

This was the day i realized how old Copper was getting!

He looks like he's being tortured but he actually was loving running along the dirt roads

Daddy took the littles on a date while mommy took the older littles to the women's conference for Conference

Adelia's first time

Family pictures--- ugh.  Vera had a horrible diaper rash and was NOT happy.

Norwex retreat

Giant cabin--- in fact largest in North america??? something like that
GIANT SWING...
we had some good times trying to swing in this huge thing

While I went to the retreat Luke and the girls had been in Scofield for elk hunting.

The next 2 days were General Conference.  I love snuggling in the cozy cabin and listening to the Prophets teach us.
On the way home we went to see the Kokonee Salmon that were running up the rivers. It was crazy to see!
and Then it started to snow on us..... it's officially October!
