Easter Egg Hunts

Luke's work put on an early egg hunt for the employee's children the Monday before Easter.
It was FREEZING but after the egg hunt started no one minded ;)
For having such an aggressive personality, Adelia is surprisingly not when it comes to  egg hunts. Her basket only contained about 3 eggs when the other kids were almost done scavenging.
Luckily it was all evened out and everyone got 20 eggs :) ... not that we needed the candy!
***********************

On the day before Easter (Saturday March 30) we went to a neighborhood in our ward who hold an egg hunt in their cul-de-sac every year. Again fun..... but did we really need more candy, really?!?!
yeah.. i guess we did
Meanwhile, Linaya got her first driving lesson
Reminds me of these pictures of Adelia 3 years ago at her first driving lesson (also Easter).
Little older, way more wiry, but still just as cute as the other ;)

5 Month Celebration

So, Little L turned 5 months old. We celebrated by introducing her to something glorious-- FOOOD!

She wasn't so sure it was glorious by any standards!
 "Okay, this stuff is DISGUSTING!"
I love how put-out she looks in this picture
But wish a reassuring kiss from Mommy....
 Things started to look up!
And what is this? A smile?
Yay for solids! And hope for a better night's sleep. She wakes up at 2, 4, and 6 am on the dot, so I hoped the food with help with that. Unfortunately, the worst night we ever had with her followed her adventure with solid food. Somewhere between the feeding and night time she came down with a (MILD) stuffy nose but it must have bugged her because she was up alllllllllll night long.

The next day she was scheduled for a visit with the chiropractor to also see if she would sleep better. Her shoulders and neck were really tight and her left side extension was rather limited. He adjusted her as best he could and since then she has actually slept more peacefully.... stuffy nose and all. The food hasn't really seemed to make a difference. But she started to enjoy the cereal more and more........ until one day she HATED IT. She has't really had too much the past few days. We'll see how it goes.  She thoroughly enjoyed the mashed banana I fed her today so maybe cereal just isn't her thing.  I NEVER do well with baby foods.

Off to the Farm

On Monday, March 18th, Tianna didn't has school for some reason. I contemplated laying in bed late that morning but then changed my  mind and decided to make a quickie trip to Castle Dale to see Grandma Belinda for her birthday (on the 19th.)
So we loaded up and headed down, stopping by Price to feed Linaya and see Grandpa Neil's new baby chicks.......... he's so proud of them!

Then we drove on to Castle Dale and saw Grandma Belinda, the new baby horse, and GRANDPA! We were so glad he got off work early enough to see us too!
Plus Monica and the boys came over to visit too. It was a short visit, but very nice :)
 Happy Birthday Grandma Belinda!
Kiss did not like anyone! But I somehow coaxed her into letting me pet her! :)
And I just thought I'd throw this angel's picture in, just for extra measure. I love her to pieces!

Ol' Saint Paddy's Day

Since St. Patrick's day was on Sunday I had to come up with something to for Singing Time in Primary. The rainbow grew towards the pot of gold as they sang the song better and better.  I liked how it turned out....... unfortunately it didn't get executed as well as hoped during church. The rainbow kept getting stuck. Oh well :)
The girl's and their friends made a leprechaun trap. Sometime in night he walked through the paint I was using to make the rainbow. Too bad he escaped and didn't leave us any $$$
Check us out in our green duds!
ps- my husband is super cute!
and my girls are completely adorable!

Night at the Museum

One day we saw a random advertisement for a "Night at the Museum" at a museum in Lehi we had never even heard of. Sounded fun!
(it was very tiny, but the kids loved it)

The dinosaur is about to make Luke his lunch!
the kiddos got to be in a movie ;)
dig for dinosaurs
 See some critters
chat up Christopher Columbus, feel a meteor, and watch a pirate get thrown in jail. all in all, it was quite the adventure in deed!

Next door was a really cool little restaurant called Porters Place.  It was set up like an old time saloon of sorts. We ordered the Sheriff Special. Oh buddy- that was a BIG steak!
Good thing we shared it as a family!

Dr. Seuss' Birthday and the Literacy Festival

Wow, March was busy! It started off with a "Literacy Festival" at Tianna's school. I volunteered to make the cake for Tianna's class to be auctioned off.  SO DID NOT know what I signed up for. I got wind of the fact that they are always super elaborate and professional-like......... welp, I am not a cake master but I did my best! I just made sure it was on the end and not in the middle of the 3-D fondant masterpieces! hahaha

Tianna also got to dress up as a Dr. Seuss character for school. She went as Cindy Lou Hoo and so Adelia dressed up like Sally from Cat in the Hat....... just because.
Linaya got to be Sally-Mini :)
I also made White Bean Chili for the dinner.
 Some of the other cakes

Tianna's class performed. She rocked it! I over heard random strangers saying "Look at that girl in pink! she is so cute!" Agreed.

the next morning we just HAD To have green eggs and ham on Dr. Seuss' actual birthday. Apparently you do something once, (last year) it's automatically tradition. :)
Like the egg yolk made with left over frosting from the cake?
