Dear Adeila

Dearest Adelia, 
We have been so blessed to have you in our lives.  It's hard to remember what life was before you became a part of our family.  One year.  It just amazes me how the time as flown by. 


She have always been so strong..... strong willed, and strong of body. You were a pretty wonderful baby.  Not when it came to nursing, sleeping at night, or being in your car seat, but otherwise, you were a happy baby.


You seemed so mild mannered too. You had us fooled!  You are actually really loud (screechy) and busy busy busy. 
But you keeps us smiling and laughing every day with the faces you pull, your dancing to any tune (hymns, jingles, anything you hear) and those bright, mischief-filled blue eyes.  The saying, "dynamite comes in small packages" definitely fits you.  
Gratefully you are usually very loving. You love to cuddle and are often so sweet.  You love giving kisses and hugs and being around people.  Your favorite person to play with is your big sister.   Sometimes you aren't really gentle with Tianna-- you like to yank her hair out, but Tianna doesn't usually mind too much. She adores you, Adelia. Just like your mommy and daddy do.  We have had such a wonderful year with you and want to share some of the highlights of your life so far.

Adelia Rose turns One Year old!

So, yes it is old news but our baby girl turned ONE on June 13th!
We celebrated the day after our Havasupai trip with the family.  My family had a party for all the June birthdays which included Taylor (on the 11th),. Adelia (13th), my dad (14th) and Pyper (15th).  Luke's parents and sister, Monica, and her family were able to come celebrate as well.
Thanks for all that attended and for the kind and thoughtful gifts she received.

On her actual birthday we PARTAYED! Since it was a Sunday... and she's only one... we didn't do much but have a cake and icecream party with us, Luke's Uncle Mike and Aunt Toni, and our friends, Stacey and Luke Ercenbrack.
She LOVED her laby bug camp chair and her BIG Tonka truck.  She'd climb in the chair, then out and into the truck, then out, and into her chair again.  I think more than anything, she liked the attention!

And ohhhhhhhhhhh did she like her cake! Before we could even light the candles she was digging into the frosting.  It took some coaxing for Tianna to touch her cake when she turned one, but not Adelia. She dug right in and shoved it into her face.  She's out little sugar addict! Maybe that is why she's so so sweet!

Tianna was so proud of her cake decorating skills. We have the best 2 little girls in the whole wide world!
