During Memorial Day, while at the cabin in Scofield, we slipped away and had a little photo shoot with Linaya. We sure love that little girl!!

SCHOOL'S OUT!
Last Day of 1st Grade
(First day of 1st Grade)
Tianna participated in the school talent show. She rocked it!! She did a hula-hoop performance to the song, "Happy" by Pharrell. It was so awesome. She never dropped it once and she got the crowd into it. I seriously don't know how she can hula-hoop at all (I sure can't!) let alone for 2 minutes straight!
Linaya wanted a piece of the action. She loves her picture taken!
And on a random note--wasn't our tree blooms so very pretty?
"We Love America!"
Tianna's 1st grade had a special program for parents where they performed all sorts of patriotic numbers. She a few other kids recited the famous line from the Gettysburg Address.
"Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." She was the only one memorized (yes, proud mama!)
Olympic Gymnast in Training!
In May, Adelia finished up her gymnastics class and performed all she had learned at Kardio Kidz, USA.

Hogle Zoo (again)
Sometimes we go years without going to the zoo but this spring we went on the free day at the end of February and then again a month later for Tianna's class field trip.
This day the animals were especially wild. The tiger was roaring and roaring.... a bit unnerving actually! Usually he just lays their looking board. Today he was ticked off! BUT it made for some excitement for sure!
The Polar Bear was also quite lively.
3 wild bears were on the outside of the glass. Rawr!
Ohhh Linaya and the Otter. She (and probably countless others that day) kept kissing the statue.
The brown bears were wrestling all around. Very entertaining!
Did I mention all the "animals" were wild?? But what's new? Adelia is always crazyI have never thought the gorillas were more humanistic than when I saw them sleeping .. with their hands tucked under them for pillows.... Although I don't know if holding your feet in the air would be comfortable for long, but the one closest to the glass-- I sleep like that all the time.
Can't leave the zoo without snapping some PEACOCK pics! :)
Before leaving we had to pose on every surface possible. hahaha.
So the zoo was fun....... but I often wonder why we bother going all the way to SLC when we always have a zoo at our house! ;)
