Lake Reunion 2013

We didn't really take many pictures at the Lake Reunion.......... it was VERY hot and we spent most of the day in the pool at the KOA campground. We stayed in a camp house (single wide trailers) which was nice.
Shady RV Sites
Between swimming sessions we had the dinner at the club house and let Adelia blow out her birthday candles.
 Grandpa enjoyed some Linaya time
After some more swimming, showers and some dinner we went to St. George for the show at TUACAHN, "Mary Poppins"
The kids LOOOOOOOOOOVED IT!
We were very blessed by Luke's grandparents who made the whole reunion possible and who bought all of our tickets to the show. It was a wonderful time.......... just wish we had had a little more time with the whole family. Decidely, KOA campgrounds (especially ones in such hot places) don't allow for much family bonding. We usually sit around and visit for hours around a campfire at the Lake Reunions. This one was really fun, just not as much "togetherness."

Saturday we loaded up and had to leave the campground fairly early. Before heading home we stopped in St. George for a tour of Jacob Hamblins house and ate lunch at Denny's.
All the grand kids on Luke's side
After lunch we parted ways and headed home. We broke up the trip by stopping at Cove Fort for a tour. It was wonderful! Such a beautiful, peaceful place.

It was a wonderful weekend and we were so happy to spend that much time together as our little family, celebrate Adelia's birthday and visiting beautiful (yet HOT) southern Utah.

Adelia, the BIG GIRL!

On June 13th our sweet and sassy little girl turned 4 years old. She just seems so grown up lately!
For months she talked about her birthday. To ANYONE who'd listen she would say,
"I get to go to a reunion and a play on my birthday."
She was totally stoked that the Lake reunion was in St. George on her birthday and that she could go see "Mary Poppins" and Tuacahn.
She also requested a Rapunzel cake. We scoped out Pinterest and then decided she wanted the boat scene depicted.
This is what I came up with. I was quite pleased with it (considering my limited skills)
I made the cake while she was in bed and had it all ready to go with us to St. George the next morning when she woke up.
We also decorated the house with streamers a bit. Tianna reminded me (and Adelia) that we had done in before so I figured we had better keep with the tradition. It was totally worth it to see her excitement!
Her biggest gift from us-- a new scooter! She always steals Tianna's so we knew it would be a total hit!
 Her new Rapunzel dress.

Her birthday was just about as perfect as a little girl's birthday could be! Daddy had requested the day off because we thought we could head to the reunion in St. George early but found out I had rehearsal for a play that night. He decided to still take the day off and it was SO fun! Probably my favorite day we've had this whole summer.

We opened her gifts, ate breakfast, had a nice leisurely morning and then went up to Orem to the Disney store. When we were there the clerk made her a birthday crown and pin, which she wore proudly all day long!
Afterwards we went to see "How to Train a Dragon" at the dollar kid's summer movie in Spanish Fork. THEN we went to the splash pad and park.  It was a super fun day!

That night after we packed up to go camping we ate dinner per her request: barbecue chicken and mac-n-cheese............ followed by the best ice cream from the local RED BARN.
As soon as I was finished with rehearsal we loaded the sleepy kids and headed down to St. George for the Lake Reunion.

Dancing Queen

On June 3rd Tianna had her dance recital. She absolutely loves performing. And she's a pretty great dancer too. She puts forth more energy than almost any other girl on that stage. We just love our beautiful Tianna.
Wow............ this picture amplified her farmer's tan so much! haha

By Day 1 Way, By Night........another.

This year Luke wanted to take the girl's to the Father and Son Outing again. I thought they were too old and should probably sit it out this year..... but he said, "no, everyone in Elders Quorum said I had to bring them again because it was so funny!"
So....... Andre and T-Bone went with daddy again.  They were so excited all day long, but
once they got there they were really embarrassed and tried to hide their faces all through dinner. Guess this ship has sailed......... but for now, it was hilarious! :D

Lou-Lou (Linaya) and I went to dinner with some friends while the "boys" were out.
Next day........... the little stinker popped out her first tooth (on June 1st) which explained why she was such a rotten dinner-date ;)

Memorial Day in the Mountains

This year Memorial day was spent in Scofield. It was really nice weather. The kids enjoyed lots of fresh air, play-time with cousins and horseback rides....EVEN LINAYA!
Still just trying to figure out my  new SLR camera..... so we had a little bit of a photo shoot outside.
With Payton E. Hopes
Awwww. I love this one!
Adelia was being such a poser. We sure love those silly girls!
Cousin Camryn
And Tianna Banana (she LOVES when we call her that.... hahaha)

On Sunday, Luke and I had a little trip back to Santaquin to attend a special 5 pm Sacrament meeting in which our ward ward was divided up. We are now members of the Santaquin 20th Ward (Can you believe there are that many wards here?!?!)
On that note, Luke was later made the Elders Quorum President for our new ward. He has been in 5 different E. Q. Presidencies and I guess he was due to be the president this time.  I am now a Relief Society teacher....... of the 2 of us, I am MUCH more excited about my calling ;)
