Linaya's 6 Month Photo Shoot (May 9, 2013)

Spring in Santaquin is just gorgeous! When all the local orchards are in bloom it is breathtaking! Couple that with the dandelion carpet underneath and it is the PERFECT backdrop.
My friend, Melissa, came and used her nice new camera to snap some pics of our darling 6 1/2 month old.  Linaya was so cooperative and we were done in about 20 minutes.

Seriously, can she get any cuter???????????
Nope, I don't think so either.

We weren't even planning to take the older girl's pictures but we snapped a few and they turned out perfectly. Melissa did such a great job!

The Arthritis Walk

On May 18th we went to Sugar House Park to attend the annual ARTHRITIS WALK. We were so lucky to be supported by such wonderful family and friends.  We started our own team this year under the Parent to Parent, Peer to Peer Network. It was
PEACOCK POWER
Our team earned nearly $400! We had such thoughtful donors and those that came to walk with us are just rockin'!  We are so grateful for all of them.
We had all of Luke's family (that live in the state anyway...miss you as always, Laura)
and our friends Evan and Melissa and Sophie, Melissa's mom and her brother and our friend Tiffany and Connor.
My parents were not able to attend the walk, but we used their generous donation to purchase this hero dedication for Tianna.
After the walk we had a delicious dinner at Red Lobster and then went out to Courtney's house to help put up some corrals for horses.  This is the awesome old tractor they are restoring.

The night before the walk we had Luke's family stay at our house. It was also Bert's birthday--which was PERFECT. We loved being able to celebrate with everyone.
Thank you again all who made this weekend great for us! We love you all :)

Kindergarten Wind Down

Before recapping the wind down of Tianna's Kindergarten year, I first need to add these cute pictures of Linaya.
The little miss just keeps on growing up no matter how much I tell her to stop...
Disobedient children anyway! :)

On the last day of school Tianna's Kindergarten had a field day. She thought it was pretty cool!
Her poster for the Spanish fiesta held on May 10th.

On May 17th this lovely lady had her very own KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION!
(so sad the pictures are blurry! I just barely got an SLR camera for Mother's Day and still didn't know how to work it well)
How much she grew in one year! (see I told you they keep disobeying me when I tell then to stay little!)

Her graduation:
She is always the most enthusiastic singer of the group.
When asked what her favorite part of Kindergarten was she said, "The teachers" (so sweet!) Most kids just said "recess" or "art."
Good bye Mrs. Shultz.  You were an excellent teacher and Tianna loved being in your class!

A week later we attended the rest of the school's awards assembly.  She received the "Narnia Award" for her class. It is the most prestigious award at her school... 1 boy and 1 girl from each class get chosen for their exemplary citizenship.

We didn't tell her she was getting an award.... we just showed up at her school. She was very excited and surprised.
On the way out of her school I snapped a picture of the picture she drew for the reading coloring contest back in October.  She is such an accomplished little Kindergartner :)  We are so proud of her even if she hadn't won coloring contests, Inspirations, awards or anything else. She is just a super girl and we love her.
