Ol' Saint Paddy's Day

Since St. Patrick's day was on Sunday I had to come up with something to for Singing Time in Primary. The rainbow grew towards the pot of gold as they sang the song better and better.  I liked how it turned out....... unfortunately it didn't get executed as well as hoped during church. The rainbow kept getting stuck. Oh well :)
The girl's and their friends made a leprechaun trap. Sometime in night he walked through the paint I was using to make the rainbow. Too bad he escaped and didn't leave us any $$$
Check us out in our green duds!
ps- my husband is super cute!
and my girls are completely adorable!

Night at the Museum

One day we saw a random advertisement for a "Night at the Museum" at a museum in Lehi we had never even heard of. Sounded fun!
(it was very tiny, but the kids loved it)

The dinosaur is about to make Luke his lunch!
the kiddos got to be in a movie ;)
dig for dinosaurs
 See some critters
chat up Christopher Columbus, feel a meteor, and watch a pirate get thrown in jail. all in all, it was quite the adventure in deed!

Next door was a really cool little restaurant called Porters Place.  It was set up like an old time saloon of sorts. We ordered the Sheriff Special. Oh buddy- that was a BIG steak!
Good thing we shared it as a family!

Dr. Seuss' Birthday and the Literacy Festival

Wow, March was busy! It started off with a "Literacy Festival" at Tianna's school. I volunteered to make the cake for Tianna's class to be auctioned off.  SO DID NOT know what I signed up for. I got wind of the fact that they are always super elaborate and professional-like......... welp, I am not a cake master but I did my best! I just made sure it was on the end and not in the middle of the 3-D fondant masterpieces! hahaha

Tianna also got to dress up as a Dr. Seuss character for school. She went as Cindy Lou Hoo and so Adelia dressed up like Sally from Cat in the Hat....... just because.
Linaya got to be Sally-Mini :)
I also made White Bean Chili for the dinner.
 Some of the other cakes

Tianna's class performed. She rocked it! I over heard random strangers saying "Look at that girl in pink! she is so cute!" Agreed.

the next morning we just HAD To have green eggs and ham on Dr. Seuss' actual birthday. Apparently you do something once, (last year) it's automatically tradition. :)
Like the egg yolk made with left over frosting from the cake?

4 Months!

on February 23rd Linaya turned 4 months old.
Our little FLOWER CHILD weighed in at 11 lbs 3 oz. (3rd percentile) and was
24 inches long (28th percentile.  Still sweet and getting chunky ....... even though her stats would suggest otherwise!
I wanted cake. Seemed like a good enough reason to make some ;)

President's Day Weekend

Reunited. You'd have thought he'd been gone a month! That week sure felt like it. Before Luke came home from his business trip we had left for Scofield, so after driving all the way from Anaheim to Santaquin, he got to turn around and head another 1.5 hours to us.
BUT these morning hugs prove it was worth being there when the kids woke up!
 Huh? Who me?
Daddy brought the girlies some Valentine gifts from Cali.
Linaya was getting some Auntie Joy love
 Sportin' her outfit from Daddy

Can you tell we love this sweet girl's face?
While in the Mtns we enjoyed some snow-time.  But lesson learned-- don't kneel on dog's level. You WILL BE MAWLED! My sister was taking our photo and caught the live action shots of Copper's attack!

 "Get off!!"
 "No really. GET off!"
 Sleddin' fun!
Tianna doing what Tianna likes best-- just eating the snow. Ew.
I may or may not be standing on tip-toes while pushing Taylor and Nati down. I can't believe my nieces are almost as tall as I am :(
