All in a Day

Often as as a parent you marvel how quickly your kids are changing..........

Some days it's even more apparent.
Earlier in the day:
Our GIRLIE GIRLS in Tianna's dance costumes.

Later that day:

Our new boys! Tyson and Andre`

Luke is the 2nd councilor in the Elders Quorum Pres and as the EQP was in charge of the Father's and Sons Outing, Luke needed to go.  As you well know, we have no sons, so...... he decided to take our "New Boys" with him.  They begged all day to get in their boy clothes and mustache's! It was hilarious!  And they loved going with dad and sleeping in the Pathfinder.

Dancing Queen

Our Tianna-Banana had her very first dance recital on June 5th.
She was sooooooooo excited and did an exceptional job! I can't believe how big and mature she is getting to be....... to be honest, it freaks me out!
Especially when after the recital I stopped at Walmart to buy some ice cream and a lady thought for sure she was my SISTER! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Don't tell me that until she's like 20. Then I'll take it for a compliment!

She had 3 dance numbers: The opening "Strawberry Shake" and then her class did "Neverland in a cute Tinkerbell costume (which I didn't get a picture of her in until the next day), and her jazz costume to "Sugar Pie."
 Her cute class
We were so proud of her. She knew the dances so well and had so much energy and enthusiasm. She truly shined!
Who is this old child?! It can't be ours?!
These are the cousins that were able to come watch.  Thanks Mom and Tori for coming and bringing these cute girlies.  Tianna loved having you there.
Great Grandpa and Grandma Peacock also made the trip to watch her. Thanks so much for coming!

Lake Reunion at Starvation Reservoir

June 1st and 2nd we went to the annual Lake Reunion and this year it was at Starvation Res. by Duchesne.  We stayed in a beautiful cabin and it was a great time, like it is every year.

No, Luke's dad (Bert) is not really using a walker.  He just celebrated the BIG 5-0 and Luke thought since he was getting so old and decrepid we should get him his very own walker.
Thanks for humoring us by using it! :D
 What a view, huh!
For Luke's side of the family we held a cake party for Adelia who's birthday is actually today (the 13th.)  Thanks Monica for your efforts with the cake.  I know it didn't turn out as you wanted but please know, we appreciated it! And she loved it anyway!
We brought a kids craft and it turned out to be a BIG HIT!
2 empty Kleenex Boxes, triangle sponges and paint = MONSTER FEET!
 RAWR!!!!!
Right below the cabin was a perfect fishing spot and we spent much of our time down there casting our lines.
We love love the Lake Reunion every year!

May Day May Day: Help! I'm so behind!

Here is a snap shot of our busy end of May.

I finally cached in my gift certificate Luke gave me for VALENTINES DAY! and got my mani-pedi.  It was SO fun and i loved having pretty nails for the first time in a loooong time.  (ps- sorry about the foot pic. I hate feet, but I loved my nail polish)   Thanks Luke for such a thoughtful gift. I loved it.
May 19th we went fishing with our friends, the Stubbs.  The girls ADORE their little boy.
And no, they are not drinking beer.... just ROOT beer.
Wow, we are an attractive bunch in this picture!

The next week we went to a doctor appointment for Tianna in Moab.  It was nice to stop by the fun swimming pool and beat the HEAT! And make the trip more worth it for the kiddos.
The next day my mom and I spent 12 hours, YES HOURS making apple sauce.  And yeah... it pretty much ruined my pretty manicure. At least we have plenty of apple sauce, right? Sure.

Luke was having an incredibly busy work week so they could launch a new product that weekend so we just stayed extra time in Price since he was pulling all-nighter after all-nighter anyway.

We made it to the cemetery to put flowers out for Memorial Day.
Miss you always Vittoria! And Grandma and Grandpa's etc too!

Memorial Weekend started out really nice on Friday but then got colder and colder as the weekend progressed but by Monday it was beautiful again.  We had tons of fun riding horses, 4-wheeling, playing games and being with family at the cabin.
One of the best moments was when Grandpa got the 2 little tired girls to take a nap..... or was it the other way around?
Cute boy- Bridger
Adelia's first RIDE all by herself that wasn't just around the driveway or with someone hand leading the horse.  She rode all the way to the Bear Cave by her big self. (with Grandpa holding the lead rope on his horse, of course.
Tianna's first time crawling through the Bear Cave.  (not really a cave for bears, FYI) but a little tunnel that I LOVE going through as a child.
Then Uncle Robert showed up for a bit and as usual, he had the attention of ALL the kids while he performed some magic tricks.

It was  fun weekend.  Love going to the cabin and being able to share my favorite place with my little family.
And on that note, welcome June (now that you are amazingly half over already!)

Mum's Day

What's the best day of the year besides my birthday and Christmas? MOTHER'S DAY!!! The girl's and I spent Thurs night and Friday in Price and when Luke got off work he came down Fri night.  Saturday we went over to Castle Dale and swam with Grandma Belinda and Chris and his boys.  We had too much fun to stop and take pictures!

Sunday we went to church and then had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Lake at Luke's parent's house.  Later we visited with his other grandparents and then stopped by my parents house.  It was a perfect mother's day! We are so blessed with such wonderful women in our lives!

My little family spoiled me (like they do every day!)  I sure love being the wife to my handsome and wonderful husband and it's such a privilege to be the mother of such darling daughters.......... and whatever this little growing person is! (we find out on June 13th! yay!)

Bean Museum and Preschool's end

Crazy that preschool is over with for the T-girl.  After 2 years they finally passed her! hahah. juuuuust kidding.

Since I hosted preschool the last week of "class" we thought we should so something special so on May 8th we went on a field trip to the BEAN MUSEUM at BYU.  If you don't know what the Bean Museum is, I will just say, it has nothing to do with beans.  (professor's name)  and a whole lot to do with animals.
That my friends is a real elephant!, zebra, and ostrich (taxidermy)
This whole butterfly is made up of butterflies. It's so awesome!
She just HAD to get a picture with the giraffe!
The Bean Museum is so awesome! You get to see every single kind of animal you can think of from across the world and it's FREE!!!!!!!!!!! That was the real seller for me!
We even took Daddy there a week later for FHE and we watched a live animal reptile show.

GRADUATION PARTY: May 17th
Hold on to your certificates, kids, the wind is a blowin'.......... as usual!
Adelia didn't care if it was freezing cold because of the wind. She snarfed her sandwich down and spent the entire time under the fountains at the splash park!
The year was really fun with doing the "joy-school" style of preschool where each mom in the group took turns teaching.  Tianna loved it and said just today, "I sure miss having preschool!"
