April # 2: Easter Campout

We love Easter around here!
Especially when the weather is nice and we get to go camping!
This year we went to a place south of Emery county to "Circle Rocks" as Luke's family calls it.  It really is a neat campsite with big giant boulders in a circle!

Friday's weather was soooo windy and cold and we froze all night long...even with the stove in our tent.  But come Saturday, it was sunny and beautiful.  We had a wonderful time.  The kids loved getting good and dirty, having EASTER EGG HUNTS, and playing with their cousins.

Luke and I loved being with family, shooting shot guns, teaching the kids how to roll Easter eggs.... and MAKING AN ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Easter Bunny brought a special egg with a secret message inside.
BABY PEACOCK:  HATCHING NEAR HALLOWEEN!
That's right folks, 13 weeks today.  Due Oct. 30th.

We let Luke's dad open the egg and his face was priceless!
It was similar to Tianna's face when we told her what it meant!
Adelia was too interested in her Easter basket to care.  After the egg hunt was over I asked her if she understood that mommy was going to have a baby.  She was genuinely thrilled.  Her reaction was so perfect but I don't have a picture to express it.  She just said, "REALLY?!"
Then immediately she wanted to see the baby, of course.
Later I picked her up and she said, "Oh Mommy I don't want to squish the baby!"  :) Love my girls!
I love this picture of Aden!
Oh look, the Easter bunny! (funny side story: after we got home she hid some candy eggs outside of our bedroom door early one morning while wearing her mask.)
The girls helped me make our traditional Easter Egg Krispy Treats.  I've decided they don't mix well with camp fire smoke.
We had a fun game of "Annie Oakley" with the shot guns.  I NEARLY won once. :)
 Rolling eggs!
When it breaks open, why not eat the yolk.  Yes, gross, I know.  At least it didn't have dirt on it yet
 Great Grandma Peacock

Early Sunday morning we went back to Castle Dale to attend church.
The girls looked so pretty in their new dresses. I love Costco :)
After church we went back out to the desert for dinner and to clean up.
But before we got carried away, we had one more easter egg hunt with Luke's cousins.  There were SO SO many eggs!

It was a wonderful Easter and although we were playing for most of it, it was a great chance to remember our SAVIOR and His infinite gift to us and to teach our children what it's really all about. I love that when I ask them, "Is Easter about the Easter Bunny, Eggs, and Candy?" And they both say, "No, it's about JESUS!"  I love that they have testimonies already.
