Although Luke did not have a tag, for the 3rd year in a row, we still went down for the deer hunt for the 3rd year in a row (it's hard to know if his school schedule will allow time for it, when you have to put in for the draw in January) Despite not having his own tag, he had a good time. He spent Saturday helping our bro-in-law, Chris, look for his deer. He didn't actually get one until Sunday when Luke wasn't with him. But congrats to him on his first BUCK.
Well now, what did the girls and I do while Daddy was out on the big hunt all day? We played with Monica and Courtney and the cute little Bingham boys. And had WAY TOO MUCH FUN! Monica had a great idea to have a Halloween activity-filled day. We started out with BREAKFAST WITH WITCHES (aka, the women dressing up like witches, making breakfast for the kids, and all eating it in costume)
We had quite the spread: French toast in the shape of pumpkins and ghosts, crispy fingertips (hashbrowns), Bat wings (bacon), Brain (yogurt stuff), Stomach bile (food coloring in orange juice) and other ghastly but delicious things...
After breakfast we did a fun photo shoot:
Then we went to show off the costumes to the great grandparents.
After that, the wee ones were exhausted so we put the two down for a nap and made SLIME (Glue/Borax/food coloring) with the older kids. It was a big hit!Adelia awoke just in time for some slime-time. She was none too pleased when she discovered she wasn't allowed to eat it.
She was however allowed to eat another creepy meal at Monica's house. We made spaghetti (worms and blood), and bone shaped bread sticks. Yum yum!
It was a crazy day, but we loved it! Thank you Monica for playing hostess and letting us have such a SPOOKTACULAR day! (and thank you for the cute edits on all the pictures you took! I especially LOVE the one one of Tianna)
Okay, next post-- Pumpkin Carving!
