Meet Lilly-Cat! and a really unwanted guest.

Our house is kind of in the sticks.  It's a housing community south of a tiny little city.  Since we live out in the hills, we have some nasty critters at our house..  the worst being this evil and nasty creature
It's a dead, upside down WOLF SPIDER.  The picture does NOT do this thing justice. It's nearly 2 inches long in it's dead shriveled self.  I had nightmares of this thing alive because it would have been the size of a small tarantula!

Also, we have a mice issue.. Luckily all 10 or so we have seen have been outside in our window wells etc but under the circumstances we decided we needed a CAT to hunt the mice.

*Preface-  Luke has always said he HAAAAATES cats and we can never have one.  Well, with our current mouse issue he finally conceded.  And we found ourselves an adorable little rag doll kitten.

Tianna named her Lilly.  This is after a few days when she would stick around long enough to let the kids hold her.  She warmed up to Luke and I quickly but the girls took a bit longer.
Okay, she more or less tolerates Adelia. But between her BATH incident (next pic) and Adelia always hurting her while trying to love on her.............. she's really quite forgiving all things considered.
This is right after Adelia literally THREW the poor kitty into the bathwater.  All things considered, she handled it rather well!
She loves to snuggle into your neck.
This is Luke "hating" her.  We've finally gotten him to admit that he "likes" her but won't admit that he really does love her to pieces.
How I left them Saturday morning as I headed off to a baby shower.  Can't ya just see how much he dislikes her? Yeah.. me too.
Is it weird when your daughter and your cat have the same eyes?
We love our little Lilly.  She's a stinker sometimes and REALLY really feisty.  About 20 times a day she gets really hyper and attacks anything that moves........ especially your feet.  She likes to hide out under our bed and wait for you to walk by. Then she attacks.  She's suppose to be an outside cat only... but so far she has spent the majority of her time inside.  She's petrified of being outside.  We've gotten her transitioned to the garage during the night and whenever we leave, but the great out of doors is a work in progress.
