Annual Lake Reunion

This year, to commemorate Luke's grandparents, Keith and Geneiveve's, 50th wedding anniversary this fall, we had an extra special Lake Reunion.  The theme was the 48 Great Lakes and Puddles Reunion.  Seeings as how i'm not exactly a Lake by blood, nor am I a descendant, i've decided to call myself a Reservior... but that's just a side note :)

Sadly, Luke has not accrued enough time off at his new job yet, so I represented us at Thursday's activities.
It was a very special experience being in the Manti temple with my Mother-in-law, her siblings and her parents.  I was overcome by gratitude that I have been accepted in by such an amazing family.  I just wished Luke and more of his immediate family could have been with us.  We missed them!

Me and My Girls at the temple! Tianna LOVED being where Mommy and Daddy got married. She's a hopeless romantic!
While we were in the Temple session, some of Luke's cousins took care of all the kiddos at the park.
Sharing "humble cake" which apparently is a Lake family tradition (for wedding cake)
 AWWWWWWWWWW!
Luke's uncle hypnotized Adelia into falling asleep... either that, or bored her to sleep :)
Waiting for the MORMON MIRACLE PAGEANT!
Luke was able to join us that night before the pageant started.
I loved this entire day. Even though it was scorching hot, my kids were WILD AND CRAZY the whole day long!!! and I wanted Luke there so badly, it was an amazing day. We really enjoyed the pageant... after Adelia conked out.  She was so tired and so ornery and the first 5 minutes of the pageant she was throwing a total tantrum on the ground.  Finally, she flicked off her grouchy switch, stood up, handed me the blanket, and said, "Snuggle me, Mom?" and then said sorry about 10 times.  She snuggled up in my arms and slept like a log for the entire show and then slept all the way back to the campsite that night.

Stay tuned for the camping portion of the Great Lake Reunion
