April SNOW and WIND brings May flowers? I sure hope so.

This post was written the last day of April. I don't have pictures for the things I wrote about and wanted to get some off Luke's camera. But he's always gone. So......... sorry. Read if if you want... if not. Oh well!
**************************************
Wind ripped off some of our shingles. Add that to the list of things breaking at our house. It has been a super trying month for us. But hopefully May brings some sunnier days. Figuratively Speaking and literally! I want some flowers out of all this crazy weather we've been having.

Speaking of flowers... I have to share what we are doing for Primary during the Mother's Day Sacrament meeting.  *by the way I'm the chorister... and it has been a difficult and often humbling-to-the-point-of-tears, calling for me. I miss my young women but I have enjoyed Primary...most of the time. I just feel inadequate and acknowledgeable since I haven't been in a Primary singing time since I was 11 years old. Do I remember what we did or how we did it? No.  So this has been a huge challenge for me.... but this idea I think will turn out.

We were asked to sing 2 songs on Mother's Day and so I thought I could find a medley of some of the Mother's Day songs and sing that instead of singing a song, stopping, then singing another one.  No such luck in finding one already done. Thankfully, a musical GENIUS lives in our ward and her and her son helped me put a medley together after I explained kind of what I wanted. We are singing the first verse of "I Often Go Walking," then the first verse of, "Mother I love You," then the second of "I Often Go Walking" and then finish with the second verse and ending of "Mother I love You."  I have some silk flowers that the kids are going to pick up on their way up and then they will do little actions with them and at the end, give them to their moms.  I HOPE it turns out.  In theory it's a good idea, but it definitely has the potential to be a disaster. :  ) Since my own Mommy will be in the congregation, I REALLY hope it turns out! Of course, if it fails miserably, maybe they will kick me out! Just kidding. Mostly.

Now on to updates.
Basically, school just might be the death of Luke.  This has been a semester from. *cough*  He has literally stayed up all night (5:30 am) probably 20 different occasions. That adds up to roughly more than once a week.  Right now is crunch time and we're praying for a miracle that he can get everything done... and live to walk down the isle at Graduation.

Which if anyone is interested:  The ceremony for the College of Engineering will be on May 8th at 2 pm.  We're thinking of having a nice brunch before hand-- so come play with us! Afterwards-- FRUIT PIZZA.

(SOMEDAY I'll GET PICTURES OF THIS:)
Last night we attended his "Order of the Engineer" Ceremony.  Basically, a formal induction into a club for Engineers that vow to uphold ethics and honor in their working professions.  They presented each inductee with a silver ring to be worn on the pinkie of the working hand.

I am so proud of him.  Yesterday I met one of his coworkers who said, "You have a very smart husband."  I know I do.   He works so hard and IS very smart.  It amazes me all that he has accomplished in his school career.  Even when it has meant he has had to get only 8 hours of sleep in a 72 hour period at times, he presses on.  The next week is going to be really rough to finalize everything, but Luke, I know you can do it! When you are all done you can celebrate! And get a massage! And go to Havasupai!  (and forget that it all starts again in the fall.)

Sorry it has been such a hard month! And I bet Sunday turns out AMAZING! It sounds so cute, and one thing you have going for you is that no matter what...primary kids are ALWAYS cute! That was the hardest calling I ever had, but I learned SO much from it. I know you are awesome at it!
Hopefully you get to see Luke A LOT more after this semester. I remember Jason's last semester was like that, and I was so incredibly happy to see it over, I just hope that his next semester isn't as bad! And I hope that you see him more when he's not in school! I think I saw Jason more when he was in school! Okay I'm done! :-)
