Short Trip or Not... it was HOME

It feels like an eternity since we have been down to our home lands of the Castle Valley. Finally we got out of Logan and down to visit our families and boy did it feel good! I weaseled my way out of Cinderella rehearsal for Saturday so at 11:30 pm we left Logan on Friday night after Luke got out of work and we got to Castle Dale at 3 am.

We went to Castle Dale and stayed with Luke's sister, Monica, and her husband and son. We were also able to visit his grandparents and see the new baby horse.

Our nephew, Aden has sure grown up! What a cute little boy! He and Tianna had a great time pestering each other and riding in the wagon.

Sunday morning we went to Scofield to visit Mary's side of the family. We got to hold our adorable niece, Jocelyn, and witness yet another niece (number 9 to be exact) brewing in Jana's belly.

Of course we couldn't fail to mention that amidst all the visiting and reuniting of family... we did listen to that wonderful General Conference and were able to stand and raise our hand to the square to sustain President Monson as our dear prophet.

If we had stayed home to watch at our house we probably would have been able to listen a little more carefully... but really, isn't the main message of Conference about strengthening family anyway? (I'm just glad we will be able to read the messages in the Ensign next month)

All in all, it was a great trip. We got home around midnight Sunday night making it a 48 hour trip.
